Promising two-year-old filly Ringa Ringa Rosie (pictured) is set to resume from a spell in Saturday’s Hampden Stakes, a listed race for two-year-olds over 1200m at Doomben.

Ringa Ringa Rosie showed plenty of ability in her first preparation with a barnstorming win on debut followed by solid runs in good races which included the $2million Magic Millions Classic.

She has always looked as though she will become a better horse as she gets over the longer distances and she will get her chance to prove that this preparation with her main goal being the Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes over 1600m at Eagle Farm.

Rosie headlines our team on Saturday which will also include Face The Front who continues on towards the Queensland Derby in the Rough Habit Plate over 2020m.  He ran an excellent race at the Gold Coast last start coming from well back in the field.  Crossthestart will also line up in the Group 3 Chairman’s Stakes over 2020m.  He is looking for a firm track and should he find one, he will be extremely competitive.

In other Laming Racing news, our Victorian stable is gearing up for a strong winter with a big team set to step out shortly.  Leading the team will be old favourites Benelli and Sea Skye while some of our younger horses by Face Value, Ekraar, Bianconi, Southern Image and His Royal Highness will be right in the thick of the action over the coming months.
