Without a doubt, the 2010 Spring Racing Carnival has well and truly hit Melbourne. Now that the football season is over for another year, Melbourne's attention is firmly placed on the track and all it has to offer.

In recent years, the fashion, parties and celebrities have somewhat overshadowed the real reason for the carnival and that is we get to witness the best horses in the country in the richest races.

Fortunately, thanks to a new breed of champions, everyone's eyes are back on the track. While this is great for racing, it makes the task even more difficult to win a feature race.

So to have a legitimate winning chance in one of the feature group 1 races is something not only to be proud of, but also very excited about. Three-year-old filly Ringa Ringa Rosie will line up in Wednesday's Group 1 Thousand Guineas at Caulfield.

Since arriving in Melbourne in mid September, the daughter of Bradbury's Luck has had two runs and has performed well on both occasions without having the best of luck. Again, luck has deserted her with the barrier draw (barrier 15) however she will get back in the run and will be coming home strongly down the outside.

In form jockey Dwayne Dunn will take the ride and she is primed to show her best. A good performance in this race will set her up for the upcoming Group 1 VRC Oaks on November 4.

Good luck to all her owners on Wednesday, we can assure you they will be making plenty of noise in the home straight.
