Impressive stayer Phaze Action thrilled his connections yesterday with a powerful win in the 0-82 2100m Hcp at Sandown. Ridden by Damien Oliver, Phaze Action was forced to go forward in the mid stage of the race and toughed out a gruelling run to the line to win by a slender margin. Jockey Damien Oliver said post race "he just wanted to keep going as the second horse got near him". It was great to see owners Ian MacDonald, Rob Date and Paul Smith on course to bask in their horses’ win. Phaze Action is headed towards the Andrew Ramsden Stakes (3200m) mid May.
