New Zealand import Benelli continued from where he left off with another super effort yesterday at Flemington in heat 3 of the Winter Championship series.
Benelli was beaten by a Long Neck into second place by Gold Salute after settling just off midfield before finishing very strongly.
Part owner Michael Mannion flew over from New Zealand to see ‘Ben’ in action and was very excited with his performance. Benelli is now shaping as one of the main chances for the series final at Flemington on Saturday July 4th.
