After more than eighteen months on the sidelines, stable favourite Eskimo Dan makes his long awaited return to the races on Saturday at Doomben.
The eight-year-old son of Danasinga has endured his fair share of injury setbacks since winning two in a row in April 2009 and there were times where his comeback seemed too far out of reach.
He has not put a foot wrong since arriving back in our stables after his long layoff and we are all looking forward to his return.
He will line-up over 1350m and has been asked to carry 60.5kg. Promising apprentice Michael Hellyer will give him some weight relief by claiming 2kg.
Eskimo Dan has already been great for his owners, winning ten starts and finishing amongst the placegetters at 21 of his 35 career starts. He won the 2008 Group 3 Eclipse Stakes and has earned just under $350,000 in prize money.
Good luck to "Iggy" and all of his owners on Saturday.
