Our website has often mentioned the feats of our top filly Ringa Ringa Rosie who has been a great asset to the stable. With her career on the racetrack winding down, she is now set to embark on the next phase of her life, in the breeding barn.
Purchased at the Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling Sale in 2008, Ringa Ringa Rosie did not take long to repay her owners. By first season sire Bradbury's Luck, Rosie was out of the Al Hareb mare La Guichet, a half sister to the group 1 winner Dashing Eagle.
In her two-tear-old season, Ringa Ringa Rosie amassed just under $240,000 in prize money in just seven starts. This included a victory on debut at Doomben, a win in the Listed Hampden Stakes and a group 1 placing in the TJ Smith Stakes.
Still only a lightly raced three-year-old, Ringa Ringa Rosie offers a great broodmare prospect to any breeding enthusiast. She is a magnificent type, standing at over 16 hands.
Rosie heads to the Gold Coast Magic Millions Broodmare Sale on Monday and will no doubt be a highly sought after commodity. She is lot number 963, for more info please visit www.magicmillions.com.au. It will be a sad day for her owners however they will get a chance to see the family tradition roll on. Rosie's younger brother, a yearling colt by Commands arrived at our Queensland property last month and there are still shares available.
