After witnessing the devastation caused by the torrential floods in both Queensland and Victoria over the past few weeks, we have come to realise that we are all so lucky to have basic items such as food, clothing, shelter and more importantly our health.

These items are generally taken for granted but after watching the recent carnage, it is easy to see that these basic items are not there for everyone.

It is time for Australia to get behind these less fortunate people and do whatever we can. We at Laming Racing have thought about unique ways to help our mates and we have come up with a great opportunity for someone.

Chocolate and Lace, a lightly race four-year-old mare will line up in a class 1 over 1250m at the upcoming Mackay meeting on Tuesday, February 1. At the completion of this meeting, the daughter of Tycoon Ruler will be auctioned off at the Mackay racecourse with all proceeds from the sale going towards the flood relief program.

Chocolate and Lace has already won $14,100 in her four starts with a win and a third. She looks to have a promising career ahead of her and is fully qualified to receive all bonuses under the QTIS system.

Please continue to support those who are in need through this tough time. Make sure to mention this to anyone who is looking to find a new racehorse and is willing to help. We will have another update after the sale with her final price
