This Sunday, our stable has six runners engaged at our hometown Cup meeting at Cranbourne.
Headlining our runners is Crossthestart who is one of the main chances in the Cup. After being a late scratching prior to the start of last week’s Metropolitan Handicap at Randwick due to the wet track, Crossthestart made the trip further south to Melbourne on Sunday and has settled into our Clyde stables well. Damien Oliver takes the ride.
In race 3, the stable is represented by three runners, Tune Him Up (Mark Flaherty), Exceed All Limits (Darren Gauci) and Resettle (Brian Higgins). Each of these runners has a legitimate chance of landing the prize, and with any luck a Laming trifecta could be on the cards.
Play Just For Me shows enormous ability and is waiting for her share of good luck. On Sunday she has come up as third emergency, hopefully with a few scratchings, she can sneak her way into the field.
Wish Guard is also an emergency on Sunday, however if she was to gain a start, she would run a cheeky race. She did not enjoy the best of luck on debut at Pakenham, yet still ran a good race.
In other stable news, Chiefcomingfirst will run at Moonee Valley on Friday night over 3000m. After two solid runs last week, he looks to be extremely hard to beat.
Naadji is second up at Eagle Farm on Saturday after a very good performance two weeks ago when resuming. He too looks to be a great chance.
Finally, Alesprit makes his long awaited debut for our stable on Saturday at the Gold Coast. After having three runs in far North Queensland, Alesprit has been sent to our stable and has been doing everything right. He looks to be a good chance in what is a tough race.
