The Laming team supplied winners throughout the month of October with five winners saluting for connections across the two states training facilities with some encouraging runs also witnessed by supporters.
The first of the stable winners saw My Pins enter in race 3 with a field of nine competing at Beaudesert on October 2 with the runner scoring over 1400m in a BM65 piloted by Michael Hellyer from barrier 6, saw a positive ride at relatively skinny odds to take out the win in confident fashion by 2.8 lengths, beating home Sukhbir and Saddles for the prize.
The win gave the 5-year-old Mare by Pins out of Flying Therese her fourth victory at start 11.
The stable didn’t have to wait long for a training double when in race 5, Inquest saluted over 1400 m in a BM58 with Michael Hellyer also bringing up a double on the early card when leaving barrier 10, scooted to the front and raced away with the prize via a two length margin, with the 4-year-old, Domesday x Silver Duo commodity beating home Dream Entity from Mishani Conman in a time of 1:21.70 and in doing so bringing up win 2 at start eight.
On the 11th of October at Ipswich, The Pianist lined up in a field of 11 with Martin Harley on top jumped from barrier 4 and settled worse than midfield early doors of the 800m BM65 when racing on a good 3 and was impressive when turning for home at odds of four dollars, ran the sprint out in a time of 44.93 with the last 600m in 32.78, to score a comprehensive victory by 1.3 lengths.
Pianist proved happy over the short course to score in advance of I Am Fearless with Mr Brose the third runner in and in doing so brought about, Pianists third career win at start 9 for the 6-year-old bay Mare by Smart Missile out of Play Just For Me.
Not to be out done down south on the 13th of October it was Moonshine Annie that left an awkward barrier 11 of 11 at Cranbourne when racing in a maiden over 1500 m on a soft (6) with Wiremu Pinn piloting the Fillies & Mares maiden At set weights saw the runner positively ridden by the apprentice to race off with the prize to score by 1.5 lengths on the line to Ruby On Gold in advance of Stunna The Runna in a time of 1:33.79 with the last 600m in 38.24.
Moonshine Annie, by San Padre out of Annieanna scored the maiden victory for her owners at start 5 with two placings already banked.
With limited runners racing throughout September the final winner came via Katdeel when racing in a field of 10 at Bet365 Park Kyneton on the 24th of October over 1881 m racing on a good 4 under Rhy’s McLeod left barrier 2 in a maiden at set weights, having raced in the first couple of pairs to finish off the race with a winners cheque for connections in a time of 1:59.53 with the last 600m in 36.95 to remove the maiden tag when beating home Aspenado with Sardonian the third runner in.
The maiden victory for connections came about at start 10 with the 5yo Bay, Dundeel x Katique gelding no stranger to podium finishes having placed 7 times previously before this deserving win.
