Competing over 2200 m on a good 4, Pressfal sat worse than midfield early doors before Cahill urged the Laming prepared runner to make their presence felt, gathering up the opposition in the concluding stages to score by half a length on the line to Brooklyn Dash with Lady Matilda the third runner in, recording a race time of 2:24.61 with the last 600m clocked in 36.98 carrying 57 1/2 kg to salute for favourite the backers.
