It seems to come around faster each year and this year is no different with the yearling sales already on our doorstep.
As usual, the Gold Coast Magic Millions sale kicks off proceedings. Apart from the sun and socialising, there are more than 1000 yearlings passing through the sales ring and there are plenty of bargains to be found.
In 2009, Laming Racing purchased a filly by first season sire Bradbury's Luck for $46,000. She was named as Ringa Ringa Rosie and quickly became the pin-up horse of the stable.
Ringa Ringa Rosie (pictured) has amassed more than $278,000 in prize money from just eleven starts. She is already a black-type winner and finished second in the group 1 TJ Smith Stakes as a two-year-old.
Rosie is back in work in our Melbourne stables and is progressing well, she will head towards a race in mid-March before heading north to Queensland for the winter carnival.
Laming Racing will be very active at the upcoming sales, especially at the Gold Coast. We will be happy to help with any request whether it be a colt, filly, stayer or sprinter.
Do not hesitate to get in contact with our racing manager David Cameron.
