Recent Highlights –

The Richard Laming – trained, Reo was ultra competitive in the Group 1 Queensland Oaks finishing a proud 2nd behind Amokura with the Three-year-old RUBICK from ELLIPTICAL ORBIT (USA) filly beaten a length and three quarter under Martin Harley with Noah ‘N’ A Deel back in third.

Reo was having career start 6 in the Group 1 and has had a stellar rise in fame since winning her maiden back at Mornington earlier this year before stringing three victories on end before tripping up the highway on a Queensland assault mission, which nearly come off with the feature spoils.

Craig Newitt claimed the Group 2 Alister Clark Stakes (2040m) aboard the Richard Laming prepared, Bank Maur (pictured) (by MAURICE (JPN)  from BANKSIA)following an outstanding performance by the Three-year-old Maurice colt, who was having his ninth start, registering his third career win for team with Laming and connections showing full faith in the colt at Group level.

There had been some discussions prior with bad barriers bringing about less than perfect performances in the Caulfield Guineas and Australian Guineas when finishing out of the placings.

In the Group 2 Alister Clark Stake however, he actually drew a good gate, was able to be put in a nice position and got the job done, Tara Taggart, representing Laming, said “No one gave up on this horse, he deserves a Group race and I think he’ll go on and do better things.”

Bank Maur  ($7) scored a three-quarter length win from Suizuro ($41) with Japanese Emperor ($5.50) the same margin away third.
