Crossthestart resumed after a small let-up on Saturday with a great run over 1500m.

In what proved to be a very difficult day for backmarkers at the Eagle Farm track, Crossthestart settled back in the field as is his normal racing pattern and made plenty of ground towards the finish to grab third place.  The strength of his run was further highlighted by the fact that he had to change his course in the straight after running into dead ends.

Going into the race it was evident that he would derive plenty of benefit from the run and his effort while fresh definitely pleased the stable.  As Crossthestart gains fitness and steps back up in distance, he will be hard to beat in any race he contests over the spring.
