Time to get behind a worthy cause

Nov 13, 2009

In the past few years, the month of November has become synonymous with raising badly needed funds and awareness for men's health issues such as prostate cancer and depression.

The purpose of 'Movember' is for men to revert back to the good ol' days of the 1970's and 80's and do their best to grow a moustache throughout the entire month of November and raise money through donations from sponsors.

Laming Racing is always keen to help out as many charities as possible and this is no different.  Led by captain Richard Laming, other members of the team include Todd Balfour, Brian Higgins, Scott Brown, Nathan Dunn, Gavin Bedggood and David Cameron.

The team has pledged to go without shaving above the upper lip until December 1 which will no doubt disgust members of the opposite sex but it is all for a good cause.

Now, we need the supporters of Laming Racing to help us along.  To donate, you can follow the website at www.movember.com.au and donate through 'Laming Racing' or just contact our office on (03) 5998 9188.

So if you were a fan of the Aussie Cricket Team in the 1980's with stars such as Mervyn Hughes and David Boon or you just want to get involved in a terrific cause, any donation will be greatly appreciated.

Thank-you for all you who support!
