The Gold Coast Magic Millions premier sale concluded on Sunday and we walked away with a few excellent types without having to spend lots of money.  Here is a rundown on our purchases.

Lot 351 is a lovely filly by Fast ‘n’ Famous from the winning Iglesia mare Lasting Luck.  This filly has the pedigree page to suggest that she will be a flying machine and she has the looks to match.  She is already at the breakers and will be targeted for the rich Magic Millions series in 2011.

Lot 812 (pictured) is a filly by Dane Shadow from the Vettori mare Medicean.  Dane Shadow’s oldest progeny are only three-years-old yet he has already made an impression on the track with stakes performers Shellscrape, Hurtle Murtle and Shadow Assassin.  She is a good walker and looks a lovely type.

Lot 894 is by the exciting young sire Bradbury’s Luck from the Quest For Fame mare Tatu.  We all know that Bradbury’s Luck can produce an early runner with Ringa Ringa Rosie proving to be an excellent investment.  A grey like his father, this young colt comes from a nice black-type family and has the looks to match.

Lot 904 is another colt who looks the goods.  By the champion sprinter Falvelon, this colt is from the city winner Umagold who has produced the recent city winner Umanugget.  A nice big colt, he looks as though he will develop into a powerful horse as he gets older.

Rounding out our purchases for the week is lot 696, a Commands filly out of Zaraffa.  This filly is a half-sister to our most recent winner I’m The Fiddle who is showing great potential.  Scott and Linda Brown who part-own I’m The Fiddle purchased the filly and will be hoping to continue the family trend.
